Sparkle and Shine

Hi!

Today's card is for two challenges - Gina K Design's Release Party Challenge
Sparkle and Shine, and Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes!

Stamps are from Gina K Designs.  Snowflakes are from "Holiday Cheer", and sentiment is from "Wishing You Joy"- I used glittered embossing powder on both.

So happy it is a long weekend - I still have tomorrow off!  Maybe I will be back with another card. : )

Stamp-A-Faire 2016 Masterpiece Inspiration and Finale

Hi!

Well, I managed one card for PTI's Stamp-A-Faire 2016.  I had to work all weekend so missed most of the fun.  I decided to go with the "Masterpiece Inspiration" challenge.  Each member of the design team had to choose an artist and use them as inspiration for their own project.  I was inspired by Amy Sheffer's  beautiful card and decided to recreate it:

I used the leafy die from the "Songbirds" die set.  The "hello" is from the 'Wet Paint Cuts Die Collection'.

That's it for me tonight.  Have a great week!

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

Hi!

It's time for Papertrey Ink's July Blog Hop!  We were to draw inspiration from the following photo:

Lots of lovely aspects to choose from.  I was inspired by the quatrefoil pattern on the rug and the flowers on the cushion.

I used PTI's 'Quatrefoil Cover Plate' and 'Pretty Petals' stamp set.  The "enjoy" is from 'Wet Paint Cuts Die Collection'.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp-A-Faire: Friday Night Gallery Reception

Hi!

It's Stamp-A-Faire at Papertrey Ink!  As part of the Friday Night Gallery Reception, Nichole challenged us to go through our previous creations and find the project that we are most proud of.  I chose the following card:

I had recently purchased the "Quilted: Summer" set, and wanted to start on my Christmas cards; so I combined it with "PomPom Pals".

Thanks for stopping by, and have a super week!

Happy Retirement Alvina!

Hi!

I am joining Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge: Create a Scene with a card for my friend, Alvina!  We have worked together for many years, and she recently decided it was time to retire.  All the best, Alvina!

Stamp and sentiment are from Elzybells - unfortunately, the store is no longer open.
My friend, Sue, inspired me to add liquid appliqué to the little sheep.

Thanks for stopping by!

Seahorse in White

Hi!

I'm back with a card for Simon Says Monday Challenge: Red,White and/or Blue, and their Wednesday Challenge:  Photo Inspiration.

Stamps are from Gina K Designs.  Seahorse and bubbles are from "Eclectic Summer", and sea weed and fish are from "Under the Sea".  I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's post here.  I didn't quite have the proper tools to do her technique, so I improvised.

Thanks for having a peek.  Enjoy your week!

MAKE IT MONDAY #255: STRING ART USING DIE-CUTS

Hi!

I have two posts today.  First one is for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #255 where Amy shares how to create string art accents and focal points using PTI die-cuts.

I used PTI's "Stitched Rectangles" for my string art.   Flower is from "Rosie Posie", and sentiment is from "Keep it Simple- Birthday Mini Stamp Set".

Be back in a bit.

School of Fish

Hi!

Today I have a second entry for  Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Stamps are from Gina K Designs.  Large fish is from "Eclectic Summer", small shadow fish is from "Under the Sea", and sentiment is from "Inside and Out".  I used the polished stone technique to create the background, and stamped and heat embossed the larger fish so that I could bleach them.

Thanks for stopping by!

Purple Bloom

Hi!

Today I am playing along with two challenges - Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge #254 where Ashley shows us how to stencil using texture paste, and Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge: Anything Goes.

I made a stencil using PTI's "Mighty Bloom" cover plate.  I used embossing paste and coloured it using a red re-inker and an Adirondack Alcohol Ink "Wild Plum".  Sentiment is PTI's "Keep It Simple: Birthday".  I ended up using too much water when I decided to lighten the color, and the ink bled a bit on a few of the petals : (

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!
