Papertrey April Blog Hop Challenge

Hi!

Today is Papertrey Ink's April 2015 Blog Hop Challenge! The challenge this time is all about navy and pink!

Blog hop inspiration

I don't think I have used this colour combo before - it's gorgeous, and I will definitely use it again!

I used the 'Peony Die Cover Plate', and the "hello" is from the 'Wet Paint Cuts Die Collection'.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

StampTV MIUM Challenge - Red, Black, and White

Hi!

This card is for Donna's Mix It Up Monday challenge on StampTV.  Thought I would get an early start on my Christmas cards - never too early!  : )

Stamps are from Gina K Designs.  Window frame is from "Hip to be Square", and Santa and sentiment are from "Wishing You Joy".
Theresa Momber (GKD DT) had made a really cute card a few years ago using this frame and a snowman image.  I thought I would try it with a Santa image.

Thanks for looking!  Have a great week!

April Foolery at StampTV - Sketch Challenge

Hi!

Well, this concludes the April Foolery challenges at StampTV.  I have one more card for you - this is for Lee's sketch challenge here.

Butterfly is from Gina K Designs "Take Flight".  I stamped it onto pink vellum, embossed it in white; flipped it over, and attached it.

Thanks for looking!

April Foolery at StampTV - 1...2...3 Challenge

Hi there!

April Foolery is almost over at StampTV!  I made this card for Sean's 1...2...3 challenge -
make a 1 layer card, use 2 ink colours, and use 3 stamp sets.  Link can be found here.

Inks are Gina K Designs "Charcoal Brown" and Vivid's "Raspberry".  Images are all from Gina K Designs.  Main image is from "Branching Out", sentiment is from "Bold and Beautiful", and little flowers are from "Bold Blooms".

Have a great weekend!

Mix It Up Monday at StampTV (Stitch it Up), and Mod Squad Tick Tack Toe Challenge

Hi!

Made a card for two challenges.

Sharyn is the hostess for this week's Mix it Up Monday challenge at StampTV.  She challenged us to use stitching on our card - real, faux, or created with stitching dies.  Since I haven't figured out how to sew a straight line using my mini-sewing machine, I went with a stitching die. Image and sentiment are from Gina K Design's "Holiday Basket".

Mod Squad's Challenge this week is hosted by Kathy Krug and is titled "Tick Tack Toe".

My elements are from the middle, vertical row.  I used flowers, die cut the image with a rectangular stitching die, and popped it up for dimension.  You can find the challenge here

April Foolery at StampTV - Day 2

Hi!

This is for Karen's challenge here - to use blue and orange.

I made a shaker card - images are from Gina K Designs "Under the Sea", and sentiment is from GKD's "Happy Birthday to You".  Shaker elements are made with Papertrey Ink's Make It Market Kit "Shakers and Sprinkles" - really makes shaker cards a whole lot easier!  I also added some microbeads.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

April Foolery at StampTV Day 1

Hi!

I am playing along with StampTV's April Foolery challenges.  First up is Cat's challenge - to use two of the same shape on a card.  Hmmm, I don't have too many funny stamps.  You can find the details here.

Images are from GKD's "Floral Wreath" - stamped in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

Thanks for looking, and Happy Easter!

Playing with Gina K Designs sets

Hi!

Thought I would upload a few Gina K Designs cards I made recently.

Background stamp is GKD's "Wild at Heart", butterfly is from "Spring Mix", and sentiment is from "Birthday Blessings".

Flowers are from GKD's "Warm Spring Wishes", and sentiment is from "Thank You Duo".  Flowers are embossed in white, then coloured in.

Quick and easy card!  Image and sentiment are from GKD's "Birthday Blessings".

Technique used is "Spotlighting".  In hindsight, I should have moved the upper spotlight higher to include more of the flower.  Image is from GKD's "Signs of Autumn".  Frame is Spellbinder's "Diamond Effects".

Thanks for stopping by!
